Launching Your Mobile App: Inviting Tapcart to Your Apple Developer Account
Okay, so you have a Shopify store connected to Tapcart, an Apple Developer account, and you’re ready to host a mobile app in the App Store.
One final step that allows you to launch an iOS app, is to invite Tapcart to your Apple Developer account.
In this lesson we’ll go over four steps to do this.
The first thing you’ll do is head over to App Store Connect..
Login with your Apple ID..
Complete your Two-step verification..
And choose if you want to trust the browser..
I know it’s tedious to do the two-step verification every time, but at least you know your information is secure.
From there, agree to the Terms and Services, if this is your first time..
And, you’re inside your account.
From here you’ll choose ‘Users and Access’..
Now, this page shows all of the users that have access to your Apple Developer account.
Usually, these are team members who have their own Apple ID, and are able to sign into this developer account with different levels of permission.
So, what we want to do is invite Tapcart as one of these users.
To do this; we’ll hit this ‘plus’ button. And, a window opens that allows us to add a new user.
For the name, enter ‘Tapcart Team’..
Then, invite the email listed in the video notes below.
And, under ‘Roles,’..
Select ‘Admin’ with access to everything under ‘Additional Resources’.
You’ll choose your app..
And, in the case you have multiple apps created, simply select the one that you want to invite Tapcart to.
Then , ‘Invite’..
And, you’re good to go.
From there, your Implementation Specialist will reach out to you once they receive your invitation.
And, once again; if you are enrolled in the Apple Developer Program as an ‘Individual/Sole Proprietor,’ then Tapcart doesn’t have access to your Developer Resources. Meaning, we won't have access to create your app. So, make sure you are enrolled as a ‘Company/Organization,’ and you’re good to go.
If you do have any other questions about all of this, definitely reach out to your Implementation Specialist, or our support team.
And, that’s really it. You now know how to invite Tapcart to your Apple Developer Account, and are ready to host a mobile app in the App Store.
